China Lillies

Mom has worked hard to create a little "secret garden" in our own back yard. I love the flowers that add such beauty there. Every "Arizona Spring" - which is mid-January - China Lillies bloom in our garden. It is such a treat! But their beauty is not the only treat - I learned that they have a special place in Mom's heart. Mom had China Lillies growing around her house where she grew up. She believes that those China Lillies were planted by her Grandmother Clement. Her Grandmother Clement lived in the home until she died. Mom's family then moved into her Grandma' Clement's house. Mom was seven years old. She always remembers the China Lillies! When Mom's childhood home was torn down, Aunt Pearl took some of the China Lillies and transplanted them to her home. When Mom moved into this home, she took some of the China Lillies from Aunt Pearl's home and transplanted them here. So these are third generation China Lillies!

Tiffany and Zach Go to Morp

Tiffany sewed her own costume, decorated her own basket, baked cookies for her goodies and even delivered them to Grandma!
Tiffany asked Zach by creating a miniature football field and writing a poem on a football to ask Zach, who is a football player for Mesa High. Zach answered back by having flowers sent to "Little Red Riding Hood" along with a box of chocolates -- what a way to win a girl's heart!
"Little Red Riding Hood" reported having a fabulous time with her handsome hunter and the night went by without trouble from the woolf!
Now really, if you were a woolf, wouldn't you stay far away from that fierce looking hunter?!
A story book ending!

A postscript to this event: As Amy took pictures of Tiffany and Zach, she asked Kallie if she would like to go to a dance someday. I then asked Kallie, "And would you like to go with a prince charming like Zach?" Kallie thought for a moment and replied, "And my prince charming would be Daddy!"

Oh Man! He is 19!!

My baby boy has turned into a man! We celebrated Austin's 19th Birthday on the March 16th since he was in Utah visiting friends on his birthday (March 20th). Life is an adventure with Austin around. I love him so much and the smile that he puts on my face!
